Stefan "Boppin' Steve" Jonasson is perhaps better known as the frontman of the successful band The Playtones, who won the dance band competition in SVT and went to the final in Melodifestivalen with the hit song The King, have put together, at the organizer's request, exclusively for American Days, The Explosives! Boppin' Steve toured Europe healthy in the early and mid-2000s, and in 2002 was part of Tv4's aim against the stars like Jerry Lee Lewis and went to the finals... but enough of that.. A few years later, Record Company Director Lars Strandheim came Tail Records with the idea that black rock n roll with saxophone could be something for Boppin'... Yes! Brilliant! All said and done, talented guys were sought out and the band The Explosives was born.. the band existed for a few years and played a lot in Denmark before disappearing into the sand... But almost 20 years later this cruel constellation reappears to burn some smokers, count on fat saxophone , hot guitar, a swing so it's watering, piano boogie everything from Richard Berry to Fats Domino... Rock on!

The Kokomo Kings have earned a reputation for playing an uncompromising witch brew cooked on assorted roots music, deeply rooted in old ratty blues. They have been described as "more rock ́n ́roll than rock ́n ́roll" and "energy level 11". The Kokomo Kings have played at clubs and festivals Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Germany, Czech Republic, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, France, Holland, Belgium and the United Kingdom. In 2013, they released the debut album "Artificial Natural" and the band quickly gained a reputation in blues and rock circles. In 2017, the second album "Too Good to Stay Away From" was released on the German record label Rhythm Bomb Records. German newspaper Blues News named it album of the month, and American The Blues Junction named it the fifth best album of the year In 2018, they were nominated for Best Rockabilly Band by the Ameripolitan Awards in Memphis, and later that year they won the "Band of the Year" award by The Blues Lounge Radio Show. The third album "Fighting Fire With Gasoline" from 2019 got good distribution around Europe. In October 2021, The Kokomo King's fourth album "A Drive-By Love Affair" was released
